Erin Scott

Erin L. Scott is a senior lecturer in the Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management Group at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She holds an MBA-MS from Washington University in St. Louis, a BE in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a PhD in Strategy from Washington University in St. Louis Olin Business School.

Scott’s research focuses on strategy for start-ups and has been published in leading journals such as Harvard Business Review, Management Science, and Strategy Science. At MIT Sloan, she teaches electives on entrepreneurship and innovation, including the award-winning Entrepreneurial Strategy course (MBA and EMBA), the Entrepreneurial Founding & Teams course (MBA), and the Strategy for Startups course (Executive Education). Additionally, she serves as a mentor and adviser to early-stage entrepreneurs, start-ups, and entrepreneurship programs.
